“I certainly never feel discouraged. I can’t myself raise the winds that might blow us or this ship into a better world. But I can at least put up the sail so that when the wind comes, I can catch it.” E.F. Schumacher
On the 20th of June, over 130 delegates joined us to explore how E.F. Schumacher’s ideas have been translated into action in the 21st century. We welcomed members from the Schumacher Circle including Soil Association, Schumacher College, Practical Action, New Economics Foundation, Centre for Alternative Technology, Resurgence & Ecologist Magazine, Green Books and Jeevika Trust. We also heard from Helena Norberg Hodge from Local Futures and Adam Lent (Ashoka).
These are organisations and individuals who are ‘putting up the sails’ and implementing practical actions for sustainable change. View the presentations from the day. Videos of the talks will be shared soon.
